Found & Flagged is an independent blog that finds and reviews products from AliExpress. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AliExpress or Alibaba Group.
Who writes this
My name is Eyal, and I write everything here. I'm not a review site with a staff — I'm one person who has been ordering from AliExpress for years and got tired of "best of" lists written by people who clearly never opened the box.
What I actually run, because it's the reason I can write about any of this:
- A Home Assistant setup with 72 Zigbee devices on a SONOFF coordinator — door and motion sensors, wall switches, smoke detection, the lot. I flash my own firmware and I've had the failures to prove it.
- A drip irrigation system I automated myself: a 20-metre kit feeding five planters, run off a Zigbee water valve that takes input from a rain sensor and skips the watering when it's actually raining.
- Every product in the Garden & Outdoor and Smart Home roundups — those two pages are entirely things I own and use. The photos on them are mine, taken in my own garden, not pulled from the listings.
- A price-tracking log covering 64 products, recorded weekly since September, because I wanted to know how many AliExpress "discounts" are real. So far: the median listing claims 52% off, and that number doesn't move whether there's a sale on or not.
I order internationally, from Israel, which means the shipping times, customs charges and dispute experiences described on this site are ones I've actually been through rather than researched.
I don't publish my face or my surname here, and that's a deliberate choice — but everything above is checkable against the site itself. If a claim on any page doesn't hold up, tell me and I'll correct it. That has already happened more than once.
Affiliate disclosure
I participate in the AliExpress affiliate program. When you click a product link on this site and make a purchase, I may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. It's how the site stays free and ad-light.
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials. If you're browsing from another country, similar disclosure rules likely apply there too, and I follow them the same way.
How I pick what to feature
Commission rates never decide what gets featured. I look at genuine usefulness, review patterns, seller history, and — wherever possible — products I've actually bought and used. Prices and discounts shown reflect what I saw at the time of writing and can change without notice; always check the current price on the product page before buying.
